Second Chance Romance Book Recommendations

We all deserve a second chance at love, right? As the writer of romance novels (and as a woman!), my answer is a firm, “Heck, yes!” I wrote recently about second chance romance movies and how many that hit the box office feature first love. While the rush of first love is appealing, especially to teens and twenty-somethings (both of which I'm definitely not!), I find myself less than enamoured with the romantic idealism of the love at first sight trope. Instead, the genre of second chance romance holds more appeal as I sink into a bath of bubbles and well deserved me time.

Perhaps its cliché for a romance author, but I do believe it’s never too late for love… As Joan Wilder said when her editor accused her of being a hopeless romantic in Romancing the Stone, "I'm hopeful. A hopeful romantic." And it is this hope that has prompted me to write two second chance romance books.

For me, second chance romance means LOVE, not just romance. Real, deep, emotional love (oh, and passion, of course!). The stuff life and fairy tales should both be made of...
